Billy “Bill” Burch, age 76, passed away Friday, January 29, 2016, at the Memory Care Unit, Elkhart, Kansas.

Bill was born in Viola, Arkansas on June 19,1939 to Billy Tipton Burch and Audra Mae (Lange) Burch. Bill married Claudie Faye (Jackson) on July 5, 1959, and together they moved to Sublette, Kansas in 1961.

Bill spent his life farming in the Haskell County area. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. Bill also enjoyed collecting belt buckles.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Claudie Faye Burch of Sublette; son, Donnie Burch and wife Patricia of Sublette; daughter, Joyce Burch and husband Oscar Rivera of Sublette; granddaughters, Kathy Tubbs of Colby, Jan Hagen and husband Alvin Leeper of Garden City, Kayla Loewen and Tiffany Loewen, Canada; six great grandchildren; three bothers and three sisters.

Bill is preceded in death by an infant brother.

A Memorial Book Signing will be on Sunday, February 7, 2016, 1-5pm, at Weeks Family Funeral Home & Crematory, Sublette, Ks. Cremation has taken place. A private family burial will take place at Haskell County Cemetery.
