Charles Hubert “Charlie” Lee, 62, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017, at the Satanta Long Term Care. He was born in McAlister, OK on June 11, 1954, to Charles “Short” and Aquila (Nickell) Lee. He married Karen (Ireland) Copeland on January 13, 1980.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; his loving mother, Aquila Lee of Sublette, KS; sons Shanen Copeland and wife Angela of Dodge City, KS, Andy Lee of Lawrence, KS; daughters, Laurie Copeland Cochrin and husband Michael of LaCross, KS, Tami Lee of York, PA; and nine grandchildren.

Charlie worked for the Haskell County Road Department for almost 30 years. He loved watching KU Basketball and the game show, Jeopardy. Charlie enjoyed spending time with his wife, Karen and his close friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles “Short” Lee.

A Memorial Service will be 11:00 am, Thursday, March 2, 2017, at the Sublette Church of the Nazarene, 302 S. Wooten Ave, Sublette, KS 67877, with inurnment at Haskell County Cemetery at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
