GARDEN CITY - Earl Jackson “Jack” Bryant, 86, died on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. He was born September 30, 1932 to Emily Bryant (Jackson) and Roy Bryant in Denver, Colorado. He married Irene Murmuraki on September 3, 1959 in Denver, Colorado.
Jack proudly served his country from 1953-55 as a medic for the US Army in the Korean War. He was a past member of the American Legion and Elks Club. Jack enjoyed target shooting and fishing and loved riding his motorcycle.
Before retirement, Jack worked as a Surveyor for the City of Garden City, Kansas.
He is survived by by his wife Irene Bryant of the home; a daughter, Barbara Bryant-Wells and husband JR of Garden City; grandchildren; Roman Wells and wife Jessie of Garden City, Emily Burns and husband Shane of Garden City, and Boone Wells of Salina; and six great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Jack’s family honored his wish by donating his body to the University of Kansas Medical Center’s Willed Body Program.
