Obituary for Effie Marie Fox (Montgomery)
Effie Marie (Montgomery) Fox, age 59, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017, at the Satanta Long Term Care. She was born May 10, 1957, to William Joseph and Eva Louise (Wallace) Montgomery in Tribune, Kansas. She married Franklin Marion Fox in June of 1973 in the First Baptist Church in Tribune, Kansas. Together they had five daughters.
Effie enjoyed baking cookies for her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters; Constance Sheehy and husband Bob of Draper, Utah, Jennifer Hudak and husband Michael of Weatherby Lake, Missouri, Stephanie Stapleton and husband Brock of Sublette, Kansas, Sarah Jo Fox-Stover and husband Rick of Dinosaur, Colorado, Shelby Shipley and husband Duaine of Galena, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Frank Montgomery of Garden City, Kansas; a sister, Vicki Barkdoll of Garden City, Kansas.
Cremation has taken place and a private family burial is being planned for a later date at the Greeley County Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the family in lieu of flowers. Checks are to be written to Weeks Family Funeral Home & Crematory, PO Box 1200, Sublette, KS 67877 with the Effie Marie Fox Memorial Fund in the memo line.
