Obituary for Glen LeRoy Riney

Glen L. Riney, age 82, of Cimarron, KS passed away on August 24, 2015 at The Shepherd’s Center in Cimarron, KS. He was born on July 9, 1933 in Ashland, KS to Belva (Clark) Bolen-Hess and Charles A. Riney. He served in the US Army from 1953-55. On April 1, 1957 he married Jeannine Vincent in Medicine Lodge, KS. From Medicine Lodge they moved to SW Kansas and began farming with his uncle, Lester Clark of Garden City. He then moved to Ingalls, KS, where he was farm manager for Ingalls Feed Yard until the early 1980s. From there they returned to Medicine Lodge where he worked for Gold Bond Building Products until his retirement. His wife, Jeannine, passed away on February 8, 1997 after a long illness. He then returned to SW Kansas to be near his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 40 years, Jeannine and his brother Robert (Bob) Riney. He is survived by his children: Glenda Davis (Rodger) of Cimarron, Cindy Kreutzer (Randy) of Wichita, Alan Riney (Carol) of Cimarron, Diana Byerly (Ron) of Ingalls. One brother, Stacy Riney of Pahrump, NV; 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, May 14, 2016, 2:00 pm at the Medicine Lodge United Methodist Church, Medicine Lodge, Ks. A military service will follow at the Highland Cemetery. Friends are encouraged to dress casual.
