LEOTI - Isabel Medina, 84, died Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Wichita County Health Center in Leoti, Kansas. He was born August 29, 1934 to Maximina Pinon and Fransisco Medina in Lyman Nebraska. He married Johnie Hayden on August 26, 1958 in Rocky Ford, Colorado.

Isabel started farming early in his life and continued to do so until he retired. He took pride in tilling the Kansas soil and working with his hands to provide for his family. When he wasn’t farming he could be often found tinkering in his shed, or hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Johnie Medina; a son, David Medina of Ness City; a daughter, Debbie Eckert and husband George of Leoti; six grand children and 16 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Diane Medina; brothers, C.P. Medina, Frank Medina, Manuel Medina, Jess Medina, and Geraldo Medina; sisters, Antonia Hernandez, Carmen Salinas, Harriet Peña.

Rosary Service will be Monday, October 15, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at St Anthony of Padua's Catholic Church, Leoti, Kansas
