Johann Peters “John” Penner, 68, died Sunday, May 22, 2016, at his home in Sublette, Kansas. He was born September 8, 1947, to Anna (Harms) and Abram Penner in Cuauhtēmoc, Chihuahua, Mexico. He married Aganetha Giesbrecht Rempel on September 1, 1968, in the little village of Campo 115, Chihuahua, Mexico.

John worked in agriculture for many years and later started his own business, Penner Trucking, Inc.

He is Survived by his wife of 47 years, Aganetha; children, Ben Penner and wife Eva of Coaldale, Alberta, Canada, Anna Powers and husband Mike of Ulysses, Aggie Berg of Sublette, Abe Penner and wife Melodee of Sublette, Tina Breedlove of Tulsa Ok, Johnny Penner and wife Kristin of Sublette; 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Abram and Jake.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, from 2pm to 7pm at Weeks Family Funeral Home & Crematory,1547 Road 190, Sublette, Ks, 67877.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at 10am at the Copeland Mennonite Evangelical Church, 116 Somer Dr., Copeland Ks, 67837, with burial to follow at Banner Cemetery.
