Michael Louis Stapleton, 52, of rural Beaver County died Wednesday, October 25, 2017, in Liberal, Kansas. He was born April 17, 1965 to Dan Stapleton and Melody (Brown) Huff in Hugoton, Kansas. Michael graduated from Satanta High School in 1983.

Michael enjoyed being outdoors, riding motorcycles and working with his hands.

He is survived by his two sons, Daniel Louis Stapleton and wife Brittany of Ocala, Fl, and Michael Anthony Stapleton and wife Angie of Liberal, Ks; grandchildren, Chloe, Lexi and Bentley Stapleton of Ocala, Fl, and Max and Alyana Stapleton of Liberal, Ks; father, Dan Stapleton of Meade, Ks; sister, Tara Blair-Cordova of Liberal, Ks; aunts/uncles, Darlene (Brown) and Randy Lucas of Satanta, Ks, Connie Stapleton of Norma, Ok, Roma Stapleton of Garden City, Ks, David Stapleton of Plains, Ks, Linda and Jeff Watson of Cimarron, Ks, Loretta and Bill Holland of Sublette, Ks; nephews/niece, Wiley Stanfill of Liberal, Ks, Melody Stanfill of Dodge City, Ks, Trathan Stanfill of Liberal, Ks; and many cousins and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Melody (Brown) Huff; maternal grandparents, Wiley and Nina Brown; paternal grandparents, John and Mildred Stapleton; uncles, Delwin Stapleton and Dorsey Stapleton.

Graveside inurnment services will be 1:00pm Monday, October 30, 2017 at the Dudley Township Cemetery, Satanta, Kansas.
