SUBLETTE - Wanda Lou (Reimelt) Meairs, 86, passed away Wednesday, January 10th, 2018 at Satanta District Hospital. She was born March 25, 1931 to Fritz and Louisa (Jeffers) Reimelt in rural Haskell County. She married Leland “LG” Dale Meairs on April 23, 1950 at the Sublette Christian Church.

Wanda always made her home a wonderful place for her family. She delighted in gardening, playing the piano, and camping trips at the lake. She was a member of the Sublette Christian Church and treasured the time teaching children’s Sunday school for many years. Wanda enjoyed square dancing, playing bridge with many of the neighbors, and attending Shriner functions with her husband, LG. Wanda loved her grandkids and enjoyed attending their school functions.

She is survived by a son, James Lane Meairs of Sublette; two daughters, Terry Lynn Phoenix and husband Larry of Sublette, and Sandra Kay Lingg and husband Pat of Stockton; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leland Dale Meairs; sister, Joy Ann Watson.

Visitation will be 1-5pm Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Weeks Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 1547 Road 190, Sublette, Ks 67877.

Funeral Service will be 3pm Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the Sublette Christian Church with Pastor Brandon Lee officiating. Burial to follow at Haskell County Cemetery.
