As a young man, Mike grew up farming alongside his dad and brothers in rural Morton County. After marrying Donna, Mike started farming with his father-in-law, Lee Stapleton in the Banner community just south of Sublette. Mike loved farming and he loved his neighbors. He was always reaching out to see what was going on or to lend a helping hand when needed. Mike had a certain routine during the day making stops at different businesses to visit with friends. You would often find him at Teeters, over at Barber Repair or at the Coop.

Mike was involved in the community of Sublette in many ways. He was an avid supporter of Sublette Lark sports and took great pride in watching his grandson Alex run track and play basketball. Mike was a member of the Sublette Church of the Nazarene and served on the board for many years. Mike also served on the Banner Cemetery Board and the City of Sublette Planning Commission.

Mike loved his family and enjoyed getting together with the entire White clan on holidays at Red River or Eagle Nest, NM. If it was football season you would find Mike at the Snyder Family Stadium watching K-State football. He was a loyal fan and he enjoyed spending time with his family going to games. He loved his KSU Wildcats!
