Obituary for Ralph Vernon Holloway

Ralph Vernon  Holloway
Ralph Vernon Holloway, age 87, a resident of Sublette, Kansas, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017, at Satanta District Hospital. Ralph was born on January 4, 1930, to Willis Holloway and Laura Mae (Moore) and in rural Franklin County, Arkansas. He married Mary Margaret Dennis on April 9, 1950, at the home of her parents in Sublette.

Ralph was a retired farmer and had many hobbies including trading old cars. He had a love for motorcycles and taking long road trips with a group of local friends. He enjoyed taking his family water skiing as well as many other outdoor activities. He was a member of the Sublette Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Mary; a son, David Ralph Holloway and wife Mikelyn of Sublette Ks; a daughter, Maryann Miller and husband Kenneth of Cimarron, Ks; grandchildren, Matt Holloway and fiancé Marissa Casamassino of Boynton Beach, Fl, Jake Holloway of Sublette, Ks, Brooke Molz and husband Ryan of Kiowa, Ks, and Brett Holloway and wife Samantha of Manhattan, Ks and a great-grandson, Henry; a sister, Doris Baldridge.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marjorie Whitson; brothers, Fleming Holloway and Harold Holloway.

Visitation for friends and family will be 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 13, 2017, at Weeks Family Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at the Sublette Christian Church, with burial to follow at Haskell County Cemetery.
