So sorry to see this fine lady go. Who says there'll be no more tears in Heaven? Ida Jo will have the residents laughing till they weep! She was truly one of, not just the funniest, but wittiest individuals I've ever known. One can be funny just by being silly. Being witty requires intelligence and thinking outside the box, something she past on to her kids, Bobby and Barbara, in spades! Ida Jo and Bob were great hosts and had many "Class of '72" get togethers in their home and Ida Jo wasn't just a great conversationalist, she was a truly kind listener. Not just letting you have "your turn" but really hearing you. Ida Jo wanted to know her kids friends and was patient with them, in order to let that happen. What a great, great gal! She's been and will continue to be sorely missed. God Bless you Barb, Pam and all the Grandkids, Mac and Kit
It has been wonderful to hear about all the details of my beloved Aunt Jo's send off. I regret that I couldn't be there to witness and participate in the celebration of her life. She was pillar in the community, a source of brightness and cheer in her family, and she was incredibly generous with her musical talents. I love the way she inspired youth and supported her friends and family of all ages. I will always love my memories of Aunt Jo's house--the swimming pool, cinnamon rolls, Christmas cookies, piano playing, Jo's jokes and almost no rules! We will miss you!
What a lady Ida Jo was, a grandmother to many in this community and a friend to everyone. She is one I will definitely look up when it is my time to enter eternal rest. Hope you all find comfort in the fact she was so loved. Thinking of your entire family!
